Recouture and Cathrine Knudsen unite Norwegian craftsmanship and modern art in an exclusive collaboration. Through this partnership, we bring timeless craft traditions into a modern context, allowing the techniques and stories to shine through the materials. You will find the classic Eight-Petal Rose in both Cathrine's ceramics and Hilde's Recouture jackets. Together, we aim to inspire more people to see the beauty in traditional crafts hidden in trunks and cupboards and how these can be given new life.

Cathrine Knudsen is a visual artist with a strong position in the Norwegian art market who has also found a passion for clay and has spent the past three years creating ceramics. By discovering forgotten treasures hidden in cupboards around the country, Cathrine has managed to create modern ceramic products imprinted with old lace doilies and crochet blankets. In a short time, her ceramic products have become highly sought after.

Hilde Hoff Nordskar – designer and founder of Recouture, has developed a unique upcycling concept where damaged garments are given new life through a repair process, with Norwegian åkler (woven coverlets) playing a central role in the design. Each product carries a unique story, and are unique – Hilde continues Norwegian traditional craftsmanship with an eye for future demands for sustainability and quality.
