Gudbrandsdalen Uldvarefabrik

I like to combine the old traditions with a modern twist, so my first stop was Gudbrandsdalen Wool Factory in Lillehammer, where I was fortunate enough to bring home second-quality fabrics to use in the vests. The entire production happens in-house, and they are one of the few remaining factories in Norway. It was really inspiring to take a tour and look into every small process.

Herringdal and Morgedal were designed by Kari Skogstad in the mid-1980s. These two classic upholstery fabrics have been combined into a family and given new, muted colors that create a warm atmosphere and a sense of quality and well-being. The traditional patterns have become a symbol of quality, and on furniture, they create a beautiful and exclusive expression. Beautiful neutral tones in beige and gray meet classic mélange in durable and timeless designs made to last.
