The first Åkle Anorak

Since I was young, I've had an interest in handcrafts and traditions. Inspired by my grandparents and growing up on a farm where crafting and sewing one's own clothes were entirely common.

When I stumbled upon this beautiful piece of handicraft at a secondhand store in Oslo, I was immediately inspired. Upon returning home, I placed the fabric on the floor as my children came running towards me. The fabric landed on a Norrøna anorak that was on the floor.

I told the kids, "Mommy needs to sew." I went to the sewing room and was gone for a few hours. The first åkle anorak became a reality.
