Tylldalsåkle

This summer, I visited Tolga and met Kristin Skrivervik, who asked me to bring new life to the Tylldal åkle she designed through Recouture. The patterns are inspired by traditional åkler from the local countryside, while the colors and design reflect a modern touch.

A Tribute to the Blue

Most of all, the blue is a greeting to the cold, crackling winter mornings in Tylldalen—those that stayed faithful in December, January, and February.
So quiet, as the morning brightened and rose from the night, shedding its dark cloak and turning blue in the snow.

The first color to appear as the darkness lifts is blue. And when the day fades away, the blue veil settles over the hills in many shades, shifting with the weather and the rhythm of the seasons.

Memories of the strong full moon, when the stars blinked above us and beneath us, in the icy snow—glittering star crystals in all that blue.

The meeting of day and night,
the blue moment we also live within ourselves,
the meeting of light and darkness inside us.
